SBDC dancers, we are looking to change this page to an "SBDC Hall of Fame" listing.

Many of you have achieved high honors in dance (such as acceptance to nationally recognized summer programs, or college dance programs) and of these I am aware.

But we also want to include: academic honors, colleges attending, colleges from which you graduated, community service.

Please take a moment to email me if you feel you should be included on this new page. We will need a photo (a dance photo or headshot) to post along with your achievements.

Congratulations to Miss Alexandra Venter. Alex has danced at SBDC since it was founded in 1999 and has been one of my ballet students since she was 4 years old!

Alex was offered a contract to dance in Oakland Ballet's Nutcracker this season. We are so excited for this fabulous opportunity! Congrats, Alex!!

Hello all! Be sure to check out Interim classes under "What's New" and try to come! Remember how out of shape you felt at the beginning of summer classes and how great you feel now? Keep up your momentum by getting to class.

Dancers in intermediate and advanced classes remember you can come to the lower level classes, as well. They will still benefit you!

Swan Lake auditions are coming up and you want to make sure to be in your best form. I only had two pointe dancers audition the first weekend and they did wonderfully. They certainly set the bar (or should I say "barre") high for everyone else!

Wow, 5 of our dancers are graduating from high school this year. How many SBDC eighth grade graduates do we have this year? Post a comment or let me know around the halls of SBDC! Love, Miss Kit

Hey Everyone, rehearsals were great today. You were all cheerful and working hard, really a pleasure! I am looking forward to the rest of the weekend. Lots of new things happening -- of course we always have to be bigger and better :)

Hello all,
So tomorrow (Tuesday) the studio will be open till 6:00. If you want to come practice your variations you can. You can also practice during company class time on Friday or on Saturday during Nutcracker auditions.

Please note: you must be a registered student (or an employee) to practice in the studio or you aren't covered by insurance.

Do I have any pointe dancers coming this weekend or are you all waiting till the end? If you are all waiting, it would be great for me to know since my parents will be in town this weekend and it will mean I'm done sooner...
